Adrian Olejnik, a student of materials engineering at the chemical faculty of the Gdańsk University of Technology, received 17,000 PLN within the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The scholarship is awarded for significant scientific achievements in a given academic year.

Currently, the scholarship holder is preparing his master’s thesis, for which he is conducting research at the Center of Plasma and Laser Technology, the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of Polish Academy of Sciences. He intends to continue research at doctoral studies.

He has already published several scientific works and delivered lectures at scientific conferences. His current research concerns the issues of producing appropriate materials exhibiting glucose sensitivity, which can be used to construct a non-invasive sensor for measuring glucose.
