A student of the Krakow University of Technology (PK), Zlata Hrabtsevich, is the winner of the “House with a climate” competition – for the best design of a pro-climate home. The jury of the competition, organized by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, appreciated her project “Modest House” incl. for combining high architectural quality with the fullest response to the competition requirements regarding the environmental impact of the house.
The aim of the competition was to broaden the knowledge of ecological construction and climate-friendly among students and graduates of faculties related to architecture and construction. The Ministry of Climate and the Environment and the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects were responsible for organizing the competition.
The jury assessed that the winning project of the PK student “Modest House” shows that “good architecture, healthy and comfortable place to live and a positive impact on the environment can be beautifully combined”. The work of a student of the Faculty of Architecture is an idea for a wooden house, complementing the existing intensive urban single-family housing.
