Agnieszka Napieralska – a third year student of nursing from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn has won the fourth Polish part of the Queen Silvia Nursing Award competition. Her winning solution “Video instruction” is aimed at developing by nurses a set of educational films dedicated to families caring for the patient at home.

“Agnieszka identified a very significant challenge for family members of the elderly people in Poland and proposed an intelligent and practical solution – a special video tutorial with nurses presenting specific instructions for home care”.

The Queen Silvia Nursing Award is a scholarship addressed only to students of nursing specialization. The award was established in 2013 by the Swedish Care International as a birthday present for Queen Sylvia. The scholarship is awarded every year, currently to students from Sweden, Finland, Poland and Germany.
