Student of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin becomes a Polish Woman of the 21st century

Nikola Bukowiecka, fourth-year student of automation and robotics at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin received a distinction in the “Polish Woman of the 21st Century” competition for developing systems used in the NASA space mission.

“It is a great joy that I received an award for my work on sky mapping systems as part of the GLOWS project carried out at the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which is part of the NASA IMAP space mission, and for work on designing control systems for Polish satellites”, says the laureate.

Nikola Bukowiecka is a physicist at the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, in the Solar System Physics and Astrophysics Group. She participates in the GLOWS project, which is part of the NASA space mission – IMAP / IBEX. She is also an AOCS engineer at Creotech Instruments SA, where she designs orientation and orbit control systems.
