The project of Anna Szefer, a student of the architecture department of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology was awarded in the Rhythm of Light competition. The author designed the house “in accordance with the movement of light” – variable, shaped under the influence of sunlight (thanks to the system of sliding-rotating facade panels).

The competition was organized by the Polish Association of the Lighting Industry in cooperation with the Soma Agency and Silesian studios: The Goczołowie Architekci Studio Autorskie and The OVO Grąbczewscy Architekci. It was supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

In the seventh competition, participants were to design a house in line with the ideas of Bauhaus style, meeting three basic criteria: functionality, simplicity and seriality. They also had to present an architectural detail or a design detail in which the creation of an interesting way of lighting with artificial light or artificial and natural light played a key role.
