The Lodz Solar Team of the Technical University of Lodz has won the European solar electric car championship. The iLumen European Solar Challenge took place at the Circuit Zolder in Belgium.

This year’s European Solar Electric Car Championship attracted 18 teams divided into two categories: Cruiser and Challanger. The Lodz Solar Team of Lodz University of Technology students represented the university and Poland in the Cruiser category.

This is another success for students from the Technical University of Łódź in the iLumen European Solar Challenge competition. The Lodz Solar Team has dominated the competition in Belgium in recent years, triumphing in 2018 and placing second in 2021. The European solar electric car championship is based on the rules of the now legendary Le Mans race and lasts 24 hours.
