Students of Poznań University of Life Sciences constructed furniture for children in Ukraine

Students at Poznań University of Life Sciences prepared 30 sets of furniture which will be given to children from orphanages in Ukraine. They did this as part of the Live Furniture Factory, which operated during the DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines, Tools and Components for the Wood and Furniture Industries.

Students from the Poznan university’s Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, pupils from the Boleslaw Chrobry Building and Woodworking School Complex in Poznan and the KAWASAKI robots prepared beds, wardrobes and wall shelves. The furniture will be sent to Lvov, to the DREAM Rehabilitation and Education Centre, which currently houses children from orphanages in Lugansk and Donetsk.

The DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines, Tools and Components for the Wood and Furniture Industries is one of the most important trade fairs for this industry in the world. More than 300 exhibitors took part in this year’s event”.
