Students of the Medical University of Wroclaw receive grants under the Regional Initiative of Excellence

Four students of the Medical University of Wroclaw obtained funding for their research projects as part of the Regional Initiative of Excellence. The list of winners has been published by the Science Support Center.

Mateusz Nowak will implement the project “Analysis of myeloblast immunophenotype profile in acute myeloid leukemia as a quick method for assessing the aggressiveness / resistance to the treatment”, and Dawid Żyrek will realize the project “Cross resistance to methotrexate and azoles in Candida spp. Strains isolated from patients treated with cytostatics”.

Co-financing was also awarded to Maksymilian Wastag’s project – “Natural substances in neutralization of simulated muscle atrophy under invitro conditions” and Jurand Domański’s – “Comparision of adult human placenta corrosive vasculature casts in normal pregnancy and in pregnancy complicated by a gestational hypertension”.
