Students of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Automobiles and Working Machines of the Warsaw University of Technology are working on a prototype of the preMoto3 class motorcycle. They are preparing it for the MotoStudent competition, which will take place in October in Spain.
According to the schedule, the construction of the motorcycle is expected to be completed at the end of July to allow the team to test their machine. The prototype of Warsaw students will be presented in two categories: static and dynamic ones. Static category includes presentations of the project and its business assumptions – whether motorcycles can be introduced into series production. Dynamic category tests braking, acceleration, top speed as well as steering features. However, the greatest emotions will be aroused by a 40-kilometer race on the full stretch of the MotorLand Aragon track, where the registered motorcycles are tested by professionals.
This year MotoStudent will be held for the fifth time. 74 teams from 17 countries will take part in it. This is the first start of the Warsaw University of technology in this event.
