Four students from the building and architecture department of the West Pomeranian University of Technology reached the finals of the international competition “The Trail” organized by Vinci Construction, the largest construction company in the world.

Students designed a hybrid Earthship – a modified version of a self-sufficient building. They combined building techniques and technologies used in various areas of construction and environmental engineering. They proposed to produce all the necessary heat and electricity themselves, using innovative solutions based on renewable energy sources.

The project is a modern hybrid frame construction with prefabricated external walls and highly advanced installation solutions that will allow to control and manage the entire house. Designers assumed that min. 70% materials for the building will come from recycling raw materials.
