The rocket section of a team of students from the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow – AGH Space Systems with its 3-TTK+ hybrid rocket – took fourth place in the 10,000 feet flight category (for hybrid and liquid rockets) in the world’s largest international student rocket engineering competition Spaceport America Cup 2023.

This was the first flight of a rocket that AGH students had been working on for many months. The main competition consisted of launching a hybrid-fuel rocket to an altitude of 10,000 feet. There were penalty points for every metre above or below the limit.

‘We are very proud of our position and are full of motivation as we prepare for the next rocketry competition, the European Rocketry Challenge 2023, which will already take place in October in Portugal. Our team qualified for EuRoC 2023 together with Turbulence, which is Poland’s first student liquid fuel rocket’, reports the AGH Space Systems team.
