Success of Polish students in the Central European Championships in Team Programming

Polish analytical computer science students’ team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Kraków, including:: Antoni Długosz, Grzegorz Gawryał and Jacek Salata won the Central European Team Programming Championships, held on 26-27 November in Ljubljana (Slovenia). 

In the same competition, the second place was taken by students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw (UW), Arkadiusz Czarkowski, Bartłomiej Czarkowski and Tomasz Nowak. 

They solved 10 out of 12 tasks. The same number as the team from UJ, which did it faster, however. The other teams solved a maximum of 8 tasks. 

By winning the European competition, the UJ students secured their place in the world finals, the International Collegiate Programming Competition, scheduled to be played in Egypt in autumn 2023.
