University of Zielona Góra student Jakub Wojtacha was awarded this year’s Student Nobel Prize for his achievements over the past two years related to social activities. The category included activity in student organisations, academic circles and local government, as well as the organisation of cultural events and the implementation of social projects.
The winner is a fourth-year student of medicine at the University of Zielona Góra and a fourth-year student of psychology at Collegium Humanum in Warsaw. He is active in the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations IFMSA-Poland and involved in health prevention, promoting medical education, caring for mental health and scientific research in medicine and psychology. Wojtacha is often active as a volunteer at humanitarian aid events.
The Student Nobel finalist was also Joanna Nawlicka, a student of journalism and social communication at UZ.
