Light Electric Motorcycle LEM Thunder v2 developed by Wroclaw University of Science and Technology students took second place in their class in international competition in Barcelona. The motorcycle won the most difficult part of the competition – the endurance race.
This year’s SmartMoto Challenge competition in Barcelona was addressed for motorcycles adapted for off-road driving. The teams including from Poland, Spain and Russia started in the competition. The Wrocław university presented LEM Thunder v2, which fought in the category of machines with a capacity of up to 30 kW.
Eventually, LEM Thunder brought four prizes. First of all, in the general classification of the entire competition, Wroclaw’s students won the silver medal, after the team from the Russian RUDN University. They also won second place in both dynamic and static competition classifications. In addition, the jury honored their motorcycle for the best design.
