Dr Jarosław Kobiela, assistant professor at the Department of General, Endocrinological and Transplant Surgery of the Medical University of Gdańsk became a laureate of the Prof. Franciszek Walczak’s Program. The scientist will do an internship at the American Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

The Program is a joint initiative of the National Agency for Academic Exchange and the Ministry of Health. The program enables trips to the best medical centers in the United States of America. It is an opportunity for professional and scientific development as well as a chance to gain valuable experience in an international scientific environment, but also to contribute to the improvement of medical care in Poland.

Professor Franciszek Walczak is considered a senior of Polish electrophysiology. He is the author and co-author of over 200 publications in Poland and abroad and co-author of many monographs. During his career he cooperated with scientific staff around the world.
