Prof Zbigniew Koruba, Rector of Swietokrzyski University of Technology (PŚk) in Kilece, signed cooperation agreements concerning the establishment of a modern scientific centre for the defence industry and the launch of a new field of study – cyber security.
PŚk’s agreement with a company MESKO S.A. relates to pre-implementation work related to information and communication technologies supporting digital transformation in the management of armaments production as part of the university’s newly created Scientific and Implementation Centre for Modern Defence Technologies and Security Systems.
The agreement with the Military University of Technology and Siltec will start researching new solutions for securing electronic devices against data theft.
Finally, the third agreement is the development of a joint educational project with IBM Poland and the Baltic States, which will result in the launch of a cyber-security faculty at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automation and Computer Science of the PŚk.
