Consortium of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, the University of Szczecin and ENEA Operator Sp. z o.o. will implement the project “Development of a smart and maintenance-free system for stabilizing the operation of electricity distribution networks based on modular installations of a hydrogen energy buffer with the perspective of the utilization of hydrogen”.
The most important result of the research is to be a smart and maintenance-free system for stabilizing the operation of electricity distribution networks using the storage of periodic surpluses of generated renewable electricity. The system will be based on modular installations of a hydrogen energy buffer with the perspective of usable use of excess hydrogen, which will be implemented in the business activities of Enea Operator.
The total value of the project is almost PLN 13 million, of which PLN 6.5 million is a grant from the National Center for Research and Development.
