The “Wrocław Walk Again” project of the team of the Neurosurgery Clinic of the University Clinical Hospital in Wroclaw headed by Dr Paweł Tabakow, was included in the list of 34 greatest achievements of Polish science. The book “Science in Poland in 34 Snapshots” was published by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

“Wrocław Walk Again” has been awarded as one of five projects from around Lower Silesia, selected for “Science in Poland in 34 Snapshots”. The project concerns a medical and scientific achievement, consisting in the reconstruction of a broken spinal cord of a man who was paralyzed from the waist down.

The achievements of Polish scientists are presented in the form of “photographic snapshots”. They are accompanied by a description of the infrastructure available to Polish researchers and essays presenting Polish scientific schools. The aim of the publishing house is to present and promote Polish achievements in various fields of science abroad.
