The scientists of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław are implementing the project “Mediation and dialogue in the European Union leading to a lasting and socially equitable agreement reached in the conditions of reliable and credible information”. The European Parliament has allocated almost 43,000 euro for this project.
As part of the project, the scientists will carry on an empirical research on marking the directions and nature of stereotyping manifested by young people in the context of perceiving other nations in the European Union, with particular emphasis on Polish-German contacts.
The researchers were inspired by the observation that the basic determinant of efficient cooperation at the local and international level is efficient social communication. This requires social competences in overcoming the barriers of one’s own ethnocentrism and skills in acquiring and verifying information available in the public space.
