The Center for Posthumanist Studies was inaugurated at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz (UŁ). This is the first such scientific organization in Poland.

The Posthumanist Research Center has a scientific character and deals with research on the humanities, the natural environment issues and new technologies.

The goal of the interdisciplinary research is to disseminate knowledge about posthumanism, transhumanism, digital culture and society, and non-human entities. The center will create a bridge between the humanities and the exact sciences, and strengthen the bond between culture, art and technology.

The center is planning to cooperate with domestic and foreign research centers from Europe and the United States. As part of its activities, it will organize conferences, publish publications, carry out research projects, organize seminars and lectures. In future, scientists involved in the activities of the new entity want to create a new scientific journal.
