A set of Re-Vase ecological glass vases designed by Natalia Komorowska, a student of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, was nominated for the Green Product Award 2021. Almost 1.5 thousand participants from 51 countries applied for the nomination.
The set of ecological glass vases is the author’s answer to the issues related to the prevailing consumerism. In her opinion, packaging can become a raw material, not waste. In order to prove this thesis, she created an item based on used glasses from wine bottles. The wine bottle is heated, blown in a wooden form and formed into a new object.
Since 2013, the Green Product Award has distinguished sustainable, innovative products and services and offers participants a platform for networking. In terms of design, innovation and sustainability, an international jury selected the 100 best products whose authors will be further selected by public voting.
