Thirteen Polish scientists returning to Poland to carry out research projects

Thirteen Polish scientists from the universities of Oxford, Princeton and the National Institutes of Health in the USA will return to research work in Poland. This is the result of the third program “Polish Returns” implemented by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

In this year’s Polish Returns program, applicants submitted 60 formally correct applications from 16 countries. The jury of NAWA experts selected 13 best projects of scientists from research centers in Great Britain, the United States, Switzerland and Japan. At Polish universities, they will carry out projects in the natural and exact sciences, medical and health sciences and social sciences.

NAWA will finance the remuneration of scientists for a period of 3-4 years, remuneration for their research teams and, additionally, the costs of moving and adapting the workplace. The total amount of financing from NAWA is over PLN 24.5 million.
