Outstanding Polish IT specialists participated in the fifteenth conference “Information Technology in Education” (IwE2018) at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The event was an opportunity to celebrate three jubilees: the 15th anniversary of IwE, the 70th anniversary of computer science in Poland and the 25th anniversary of the Information Olympics.

Participants, scholars, university lecturers and institutions interested in improving the quality of IT education, listened to speeches given by eminent personalities of IT education. Lectures were delivered by: Prof. Włodzisław Duch, Prof. Krzysztof Diks, Prof. Jan Madey and Prof. Maciej M. Sysło.

IT education is undergoing changes, which is why IwE is opening up to teachers and lecturers who want to consciously use methods and techniques derived from computer science to solve problems in the taught subjects: mathematics and natural sciences, humanities, artistic and early school education.
