Two Polish universities top ten of the QS EECA ranking

27 Polish universities are rated among 450 universities listed in the latest QS EECA ranking. The ranking includes universities from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The best Polish universities are the Jagiellonian University in Kraków that took 5th place, followed by the University of Warsaw, ranked 6th, and the Warsaw University of Technology, – 14th place. The top three of the ranking are the Lomonosov University in Moscow, followed by the Charles University in Prague and Saint Petersburg State University.

EECA’s QS Rankings are constructed using 10 indicators. The two most important factors are academic prestige (30% of the overall grade) and the prestige of employers (20%). The other criteria include the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of students (10%), publications per faculty member (10%), international cooperation in research (10%), online presence (5%), staff with a PhD (5%), citations of scientific articles (5%), internationalization of the staff (2.5%) and foreign students (2.5%).
