The Elsevier company, in cooperation with the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), trained representatives of scientific journal editors and publishers from Ukraine on improving the visibility of articles in international databases and knowledge dissemination.
Delegates from dozens of Ukrainian scientific journals – published at universities and research units – came to Poland at the invitation of PAN.
The main element of the visit was training conducted by a representative of Elsevier.
It introduced the participants to the best international practices of managing the publication of scientific journals. The rationale for internationalisation of cooperation was also discussed and practical use of databases was practised. In addition, participants were introduced to building business models and using social media for communication.
On the last day of their stay in Warsaw, the editors met with the editors of the popular science magazine Academia, published by PAN.
