Ukrainian scientists – Dr Yaroslav Pavlyukh and Dr Pavlo Sukhachov – became laureates of the first the Polonez Bis program. They will conduct their research projects at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and they will receive a total of over PLN 1.8 million for their implementation.
Dr Yaroslav Pavlyukh received PLN 1.1 million for the project “Non-equilibrium electrons coupled with phonons”. The Ukrainian scientist presented his doctorate at the German Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. He is currently working in Italy at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Dr Pavlo Sukhachov received over 700,000 PLN for the project “Hydrodynamics and instabilities in topological matter”. A researcher employed by Yale University, presented his doctorate at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Polonez Bis is a program co-financed by the European Commission and the National Science Center under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND grant.
