Emilia Jankowska, a student of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw, won the 6th Index Investment Challenge (IIC) – the largest investment competition for students from all over Poland.

In the final of the competition organized by the Stock Exchange Foundation (WSE), students competed for the highest possible rate of return, having at their disposal stocks, ETFs and futures contracts listed on the WSE. Emilia Jankowska achieved a rate of return of 23.18 percent.

The winner studies preschool and early childhood education at UKSW, and in her free time explores the mechanisms of investing. As she notes, both of these areas have a lot in common.

“One major does not exclude the other, some items turn out to be very useful to understand what is happening on the stock markets”, explains Emilia Jankowska.
