Universities in Częstochowa to receive millions for development

13.09.2018

Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Częstochowa and Czestochowa University of Technology will receive a total of PLN 50 million for their development. The support was declared by the deputy minister of science and higher education Piotr Müller during a press conference in Częstochowa.

The money is to be transferred after the entry into force of the new law, i.e. after October 1. The funding is to be used for the development of scientific and research infrastructure – without rigidly specifying to what specific investments will be allocated – said the deputy minister.
– In total, we will transfer PLN 3 billion to the development of Polish universities. The money will be divided in such a way that a significant part will be transferred not only to large universities, voivodship cities, but above all to smaller academic centers, which for years have not been able to obtain financing for their development – said Müller.
