Universities of Wrocław and Poznań set up Centre for Interdisciplinary Research

The rectors of the University of Wrocław and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań have established an interuniversity Centre for Interdisciplinary Research. The agreement establishing the unit was signed by Prof Robert Olkiewicz, Rector of the University of Wrocław, and Prof Bogumiła Kaniewska, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. 

The tasks of the unit include conducting research, scientific work and popularising knowledge in interdisciplinary research and research on tolerance, initiating national and international scientific cooperation in this field, as well as expert and consultative activities and undertaking activities enriching the didactic offer in terms of interdisciplinarity and research on tolerance.

The Centre will be financed from external funds and income generated by research, training and consultancy programmes, from external grants, as well as from funds at the disposal of the rectors of the two universities.
