The Laboratory of Animal Rehabilitation and Sensory has been opened at the Institute of Zootechnics and Fisheries of the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce.
The laboratory has a modern scientific and didactic base, which will benefit zoopsychology students with animal therapy and zootechnics, improving their knowledge and skills. The owners of animals from the region will also benefit from it.
The studio’s equipment includes: a treadmill enabling rehabilitation and training of even very large animals; magnetic field used in the treatment of orthopedic diseases; magner plus, laser therapy apparatus (Polaris 2), used e.g. in improving microcirculation; apparatus for classic sonotherapy and phonophoresis (ultrasound) with analgesic effect, reducing muscle tension. In addition, the laboratory will have a sensory path used also in behavioral therapy.
