University of Agriculture in Krakow to launch Center for Innovation and Health and Safe Food Research

At the beginning of 2020, the University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK) will launch the construction of the Center for Innovation and Health and Safe Food Research. The value of the investment is estimated by the university authorities as over PLN 64 million.

The creation of a new center is to help URK develop scientific activity and enable more intensive work on solutions for entrepreneurs. A new baker’s and pastry line with a warehouse and a mill will be created in the new building, a microbrewery with a beer maturing unit, a meat and fish line, a milk line and a line for the production of juices, drinks and wines.

Within the centre, there are separated areas of scientific activities: economic, focused on cooperation with the agri-food industry and commercialization of the results of innovative research, and non-economic, dealing with own research.


Research and development
