University of Economics in Katowice to examine the possibilities and barriers to the implementation of Industry 4.0

The University of Economics in Katowice, under the Visegrad grant, is a partner of the project “Possibilities and barriers to the implementation of Industry 4.0 in small and medium-sized enterprises in the V4 countries (Visegrad Group) and Serbia”. 

The aim of the project is to develop an application tailored to the needs of decision-makers in small and medium-sized enterprises. The target group concerns the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises that want to implement and use digital transformation (Industry 4.0) in their activities. The application will enable decision-makers to evaluate the implemented business processes, taking into account the impact of the most important factors. This will enable effective recognition of opportunities and elimination of threats.

The project involves the university of Katowice, the University of Belgrade in Serbia and the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius from Trnava, the Czech University of Tomas Bata from Žilina and the Hungarian Obuda University from Budapest.
