The University of Economics in Poznań (UEP) took first place at the provincial stage in the IDOL competition organized by the Chance for the Blind Foundation. Its aim is to select institutions friendly to the blind and taking steps to enable them to fully integrate into social life. The Poznań university won in the Open Institution for the Blind category.

The University of Economics in Poznań implements and applies solutions that allow blind or visually impaired people to use the educational offer. All university buildings have been equipped with Braille plates and a navigation system for the blind.

The classes are available for students with visual disabilities. Teaching regularly carries out activities for the benefit of the environment of blind people, e.g. collecting educational materials supporting cognitive and sensory competences in blind children from the school in Owińska.
