University of Gdańsk re-admitted to the European University Association

09.03.2021

The University of Gdańsk, after several years of absence, was re-admitted to the European University Association (EUA) – an organization associating universities from Europe. Currently, EUA has over 850 members from 46 countries.

EUA was created as a result of the merger of two organizations: Association of European Universities (CRE) and Confederation of European Union Rectors’ Conferences (CEURC), which took place on March 31, 2001 in Salamanca (Spain). The main task of the organization is to standardize the process of educating students and conducting research within the Bologna process.

– The appearance of the university in such an important organization will strengthen the role of Polish science and will serve to promote the university in the world. Currently, it is particularly important to exchange experiences and learn about solutions used by universities in the time of epidemiological crisis – says vice-rector for international cooperation Prof. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, University of Gdańsk.
