The University of Gdańsk is the first public university in Poland that received official Ashoka accreditation – Journey to Changemakers’ Campus. Accreditation confirms that the university is able to engage in problem solving, especially in education, as well as organize research that responds to the needs of society, including its students. 

The accredited course Innovative didactics with Montessori pedagogy engages students as “changers” / innovators through its program and the possibility of learning social entrepreneurship.

Ashoka – the International NGO of Social Innovators – works for children and adults in crisis, protection and care for the environment, prevention and adaptation to natural and climate changes, as well as for people with disabilities, long-term unemployed, education of children and youth, marginalized groups, building a democratic society.
