University of Gdańsk to receive over PLN 2.5 million for Polish-Chinese research projects

Two projects of researchers from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdańsk received support in the amount of over PLN 2.5 million in the second international competition for Polish-Chinese research projects SHENG 2. 

Prof. Tomasz Puzyn received over 900,000. PLN for the project “Towards an integrated computational method molecular modeling – machine learning (MM-ML)”. The research will be carried out in cooperation with a team from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in China.

Prof. Józef Liwo will implement the project “Modeling, supported by experimental data, of the structure of statistical assemblies of internally disordered proteins and their associations” for a grant of over PLN 1.6 million. The research will be carried out in cooperation with Peking University.

The SHENG competition is organized by the National Science Center in cooperation with the Chinese agency National Natural Science Foundation of China. The total budget of the grants awarded for the Polish part of research in this call is nearly PLN 28 million.
