University of Life Sciences in Lublin to teach how to produce cider

From the 2020/2021 academic year, students of the University of Life Sciences (UP) in Lublin will be able to study a total of 40 majors. As many as 14 of them are unique in the country. The offer also includes 4 new majors, including oenology and cider industry.

In Poland, only the Lublin university offers programs such as: veterinary analytics, animal behavior, food safety and certification, biosafety and crisis management, biocosmetology, gastronomy and the culinary arts, hypology and equestrianism, dairy, animal care and animal therapy, herbal medicine and phytoproducts.

New majors include oenology and cider industry. The university emphasized, that the faculty was created in response to the demand of the labor market for specialists in the production of fruit alcohols. The study program includes practical training and provides an understanding of the principles and practices used in the cultivation and production of wines, ciders and other fruit alcohols.
