16.09.2021

The University of Lodz (UŁ) was awarded in the 13th “Employee-friendly Employer” competition. The award was handed to the Rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska by the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The University of Lodz, as the only university in Poland, was in the narrow group of 20 Polish companies and institutions that received the award.

The University of Lodz performs its tasks well as an employer. The way we think about our workplace translates directly into the results of the entire institutions. We will try to consistently and comprehensively care for employment conditions, because this is the best way for development, regardless of whether it is a private company or a state university – said Prof. Żądzińska.

The “Employee-friendly Employer” competition promotes employers who stand out in terms of compliance with labor law, in particular through employment stability, adherence to occupational health and safety rules and the right to form trade unions. It is the only competition in which the candidates for the award are submitted by the employees themselves associated in the trade union “Solidarność”.
