University of Lodz to hold most classes online

18.08.2020

Most of the classes of the University of Lodz (UŁ) will be held online. It is related to the current situation in the country and in the world. This decision was made by the university authorities due to the pandemic of Covid- 19.

-From the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in Poland, university authorities have been trying to ensure maximum safety and comfort of work. I was hoping that we would be able to start the new academic year in the traditional mode and meet everyone at the University of Lodz. However, taking into account the current epidemiological situation, being responsible for your health and life, we were not able to make other decision – said Prof. Antoni Różalski, Rector of the University of Lodz.

Selected classes at experimental departments, including laboratories and other classes that require direct meetings will be an exception. In the case of them, special rules of participation will be developed, which will ensure maximum safety for students and lecturers. All students will be informed.
