The Institute of Slavic Studies at the Faculty of Philology at the Opole University invites participants to the 10th nationwide conference “Unisono in poliphony”. The meeting in Tułowice will bring dozens of scientists from all over Poland who are involved in rock music and close disciplines. The event will be held on September 28-29.

The main topics of the meeting are primarily rock music and other genres, but due to the interdisciplinary nature of the conference, not only musicologists and musicians will participate in it. Also literary scholars, historians and visual artists designing album covers are invited. This year, one of lecturers will be a doctor who will talk about occupational diseases affecting musicians.

The originator and co-organizer of the event is a linguist, Dr Radosław Marcinkiewicz. His scientific interests include onomastics, musical terminology, monolingual and translation lexicography, and research on key elements of phonographic works.
