The University of Opole, as part of the program of the National Center for Research and Development, will implement the project “University of Opole, a university (very!) available” for nearly PLN 4 million. It is to facilitate functioning people with disabilities at the university.
The assumption of the project is to provide students with accessibility, which is to be achieved, by renovation of the university infrastructure, but also increasing the competences of university staff at all levels. After consultations with external and internal experts, a Disability Management Policy will be created, materials and guidelines for employees in this regard will also be prepared.
The University will also launch Psychological and Therapeutic Support Center, which will employ people offering help to people with disabilities in matters of current functioning, undertaking interventions and implementing proprietary preventive programs.
