In May this year, the construction of the Podkarpackie Athletics Center will be completed. The investment, which has been implemented since October 2018 by the University of Rzeszów together with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, includes: an athletic hall with full equipment, the Sportsman’s Movement Biomechanics Laboratory, the Physiology and Biochemistry Laboratory of Physical Exercise, and massage and biological regeneration rooms.

Professor Wojciech Czarny, director of the Institute of Physical Culture Sciences of the University of Rzeszów emphasized, that all works inside the hall are already finished, outside works including construction of the car park are almost completed.

The hall will include 200-meter 6-lane circular track (halls built in the academic standard are usually 4-track), pole vault run-up, long jump and triple jump pitch, two mobile high jump spots and an audience for approx. 300 people.
