A new research and development center will be established at the Fraunhofer Design Center for Advanced Light Technologies at the Opole University of Technology. Its creation will cost almost PLN 9 million.

It will include three research laboratories in the center: a multi-axis fatigue test stand in a wide temperature range, which will include a multi-axis hydraulic fatigue machine with instrumentation and specialized software; a laboratory for materials and structures assessment, which will include a coordinate measuring machine with a mobile scanner, a scanning electron microscope, a nano-hardness tester and an environmental assessment laboratory equipped with climatic chamber, salt chamber, aging chamber and spectrometer.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Program of the Opolskie Voivodeship.
