The University of Rzeszów (UR) and the Rzeszów City Council have reached an agreement, signed by Professor Sylwester Czopek, rector of the UR and Konrad Fijołek, mayor of Rzeszów, on a project in which UR researchers will check the quality of life of Rzeszów residents and, as a result, outline what should be changed to influence future planning and decision-making.

The aim of the project ‘City Observatory – a platform for cooperation between the academics and the community’ is to find out what residents think about the quality of life in Rzeszów.

One element of the cooperation will be sociological research focused on finding out the opinions of residents on selected aspects of quality of life, in the city. The research will be carried out among parents of primary and secondary school pupils, students and senior citizens.

The project will be carried out by a team of researchers from the UR College of Social Sciences, as part of the ‘Science for Society’ programme, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science.
