Within two years, the University of Rzeszów will launch a new facility to carry out experiments on animals, including pigs, mice, rats and rabbits. The research will be conducted by the biotechnology department.
The University of Rzeszów signed an agreement on co-financing the project under the name “Interdisciplinary Center for Pre-clinical and Clinical Research” with the Podkarpackie Voivodship Board.
The project will be co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund and will be implemented within a scientific consortium with the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn from March 2019 to April 2020 under the Regional Operational Program of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship for 2014-2020.
– Basic, applied, preclinical and clinical research will be carried out at the facility. Research will be carried out on pigs, mice, rats and rabbits – adds Dr. Maciej Ulita, spokesman press of the Rzeszów university.
