The revitalisation of the Silesian University building at 5 Bankowa Street in Katowice has been completed. The renovated space now houses spinPLACE – a regional and interuniversity centre for creativity, coworking, prototyping and the animation of research and development projects. The centre was set up thanks to European Union funding.

The centre’s activities will focus on supporting cooperation with the environment and stimulating entrepreneurship in its broadest sense. The following projects will be realised here: Silesia Design School, Spin Business Accelerator, R&D Fuse, Start-Up Mill, Science Cafe and 3D Prototyping Centre, 

Among other things, the centre will provide networking and conference spaces, as well as meeting places for various events and initiatives. Units of the University of Silesia that substantially implement activities in the field of cooperation with the environment and stimulation of entrepreneurship will find their seats here.
