Strengthening cooperation between the University of Silesia and the business environment is one of the main goals of the university’s development strategy. The creation of the regional and intercollegiate creativity and co-working center SPINplace is to serve this purpose.

SPINplace was designed for people who want to start or develop their business activity, have an idea for a new product or service and look for establishing contacts between the academic community representing various technological areas and the business world.

The project involves creating a multi-functional space for people interested in developing innovative entrepreneurship. The center will serve to broaden their competences, exchange experiences and establish cooperation with representatives of the academic and business community.

For the implementation of the project, the University of Silesia will receive over PLN 25 million under the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship.
