The Conference of Rectors of Silesian Universities (KRUŚ) will be transformed into the Polish-Czech University Association. The founder’s declaration was signed during the KRUŚ meeting at the University of Silesia in Opava (Czech Republic).

Signing the founder’s declaration was one of the highlights of the session program. Members of the new association are universities cooperating so far within KRUŚ and the Technical University of Liberec, Hradec Králové University, Palacky University in Olomouc and the University of Pardubice.

Rectors also discussed the implementation of the new law on higher education and science at Polish universities, the possibilities of developing cross-border cooperation and transformation, as well as the project of a third-century cross-border university. An additional event was a scientific conference at the Faculty of Public Policy of the University of Silesia in Opava. The theme of the meeting was the image of Poland and Poles in the Czech media.
