Dr Eng. Karolina Jurkiewicz from the Institute of Physics of the University of Silesia became a laureate of the tenth Leader competition of the National Research and Development Center.

With a grant of over PLN 1.4 million, the young researcher will implement the project “Alternative catalytically graphitized carbon materials for anodes for lithium-ion batteries”.

The National Center for Research and Development Leader program is addressed to young scientists representing various scientific fields. Its purpose is to develop skills in independent planning of research works and managing their own team during the implementation of research projects, the results of which can be of practical application and can be implemented in the economy.
