The University of Silesia in Katowice is inviting participants on September 6 and 7 to the 28th international conference and exhibition on spatial information systems – 28th Geographic Information Systems Conference and Exhibition “GIS Odyssey 2021”. 

The aim of the online conference is to familiarize participants with the issues of spatial information and aspects of the use of GIS systems, including: archeology, protection of cultural heritage and the environment, spatial planning and sustainable development, medicine, smart cities and villages.

This year, for the first time, the organizer of the conference is the Croatian-Polish Scientific Network, which member is the Silesian university. The network aims to formalize cooperation, create a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience and implement joint scientific initiatives, integrate the scientific and professional environment, exchange scientific and organizational information, as well as improve scientific cooperation.
